Merseyrail operates an urban rail network across Merseyside, serving Liverpool and the surrounding areas. The network consists of the Northern Line and Wirral Line, with an underground loop through Liverpool city centre.
Merseyrail is jointly managed by Merseytravel and Serco-Abellio. New Class 777 trains are being introduced across the network.
Merseyrail uses the DR15 Delay Repay scheme. This means you can claim compensation for delays of just 15 minutes or more — 25% of a single fare for 15-29 minutes, 50% for 30-59 minutes, and 100% for 60+ minutes. You have 28 days from the date of travel to submit a claim.
